0 Effective Lagrangians , Symmetry Currents and Spontaneously Broken Extended Supersymmetry
The effective Lagrangian governing the self interactions of the Nambu-Goldstone fermions associated with spontaneously broken extended supersym-metry as well as their coupling to matter is presented and scrutinized. The resulting currents associated with R-symmetry, supersymmetry and space-time translations are constructed and seen to form a supermultiplet structure.
متن کاملIsotropy of Angular Frequencies and Weak Chimeras with Broken Symmetry
The notion of a weak chimeras provides a tractable definition for chimera states in networks of finitely many phase oscillators. Here, we generalize the definition of a weak chimera to a more general class of equivariant dynamical systems by characterizing solutions in terms of the isotropy of their angular frequency vector-for coupled phase oscillators the angular frequency vector is given by ...

متن کاملEdge currents in superconductors with a broken time-reversal symmetry.
We analyze edge currents and edge bands at the surface of a time-reversal symmetry breaking dx2-y2 + id(xy) superconductor. We show that the currents have large Friedel oscillations with two interfering frequencies: square root of 2kF from subgap states, and 2kF from the continuum. The results are based independently on a self-consistent slave-boson mean-field theory for the t-J model on a tria...
متن کاملBroken Symmetry and Spacetime
The phenomenon of broken spacetime symmetry in the quantum theory of infinite systems seems to point toward an unorthodox ontology. The standard conception of the physical meaning of these symmetries, as changes in coordinates, conflicts with the apparent physical inequivalence of symmetry-related states. I argue that this apparent conflict is an artifact a subtle error in the extant account of...
